PT&E Programs

Our programs are tuition free for families who qualify for Free and Reduced Meals in the state of Oregon. To enroll in PT&E ASP, email program@ptande.org or call (503) 823-3629 during business hours. Registration for summer opens early March and registration for our after-school program opens early July.

Since 1996, Portland Tennis & Education (PT&E) has empowered more than 17,000 youth through tuition-free, holistic programs designed to level the playing field—both in the classroom and on the court. Each student receives over 1,000 hours of annual support, with programming focused on academic success, healthy lifestyles, and character development.

After-School Programs

  • Grades K-5: Wrap-around services including academic support, tennis instruction, mental health resources, and family engagement.

  • Grades 6-12: Individualized tutoring, college and career advising, family support, and tennis training.

Summer Program

  • Grades K-12: A full-day, nine-week program that provides equitable access to athletics and summer learning opportunities. Our summer program prevents summer learning loss with age-tailored academic enrichment, physical activity, and personal development.

Expanding Access to Sport

Our three-court tennis and pickleball facility operates on a low-cost, non-membership model, ensuring access for all. We offer inclusive programs for diverse populations, including older adults and individuals who use wheelchairs. 100% of proceeds from our facility go directly toward supporting our youth programs.
